Only a quick update :)

Because I'm lazy, and i like it that way!

So bloggywogg, it's been a little while :)...okay a really quick long while. I won't lie to you, I'm a little ashamed. Just a little :D.

So, I only really have time to do a little posty.

Maybe I'll catch up soon, if I remember XD

So, writer's group usual!

Sprig Jew Fabric

~

Smeared lipstick over a curved cheek,

Dark, material circles over glittered lashes

covering dilated pupils and sparkling irises.

~

The youth rejoice in shared age and financial status.

Young, rich and pretty.

These sprigs cavort in contant ecstacy,

energetic felicity that reeks of the untouchable.

~

The fathers; slick, hard nails of buildings

immovable in their success and archaeic power.

~

They live fast. Spend faster.

Squandering a lifetime in a single night.

Flushing away their happiness.

Leaving a hollowed shell, the headless structure of a bitter creature.

Tuesday 9 December 2008

Tonic, Supertonic, Mediant, Subdominant, Dominant, Submediant, Leading Note and TONIC!

Writers update!!! :D
So today was sort of Past, Present, Future thang. I'll cut to the chase;
~
Round and sacharine sweet.
It's grasped in my hand and I wander.
Wander through reds and yellows, oranges.
Strawberries, lemons and..oranges.
Rutic tones and earthy pleasures.
Rich delight in the fading, smiling sun.
I run a little, snap branches, get my coat caught. Snagging on little eager limbs and there's laughter.
Pea-shooters,
Grandad,
Grandma,
and Laughter.
In Hokey Pokey Lane.
~
It's dark.
Darkness and silence, silence and...music.
Natural music created by the warmest, homliest of mothers.
We dance and it's endless.
The raindrops chime ad chatter, splash on the floor- cobbles, paving.
Grey and black and twinkling white lights.
The Monochrome Waltz.
~
Tap tap tap tap
the clock
my pen
some feet
a chair,
I can't believe I'm sitting here.
_
Tap tap tap tap
white sheet
blank mind
this test
a grind,
I can't believe I cannot find
the answer.
~
Dear Diary,
Things are so quiet that I can hear myself think. It's not pretty, being left to my own mind. Quite often I find it easier to fill my ears with buzzing.
That dull roar of Insect Swarms and Thought Dragons.
They circle in my head, the cacophony is resounding.
It's dark too.
Not so dark I can't see myself, the lights still work of course but.
In the metaphorical sense,
an abstract noun, it's dark.
Bleak.
As though all the lights in the world are pointing to the stark whit trtuh that we cannot cope without that other life.
The fake life, artificial sources.
Life as we know it has had a temporary abortion.
_
Tree Xx
~
There you have it! Doesn't make too much sense but there you are. :D I'll tell you this.
One is the Millenium Bug. Two are Weather. And the other is Tests.
Easy!!! :P

Tuesday 2 December 2008

That's so Tesco...Yah Kinda...I really like it...

Just a Writers update for ya'll as I have uber amounts of textiles and rubbish to catch up on. Eat up journally-poo :D.
So! Moving onto what we did which was to first write a HAIKU on a picture (which after a vigorous google image search I CANNOT FIND!) which is a shame. We weren't told what the piture was about, so all I knew was that is was a beautiful blond man leaning over a, sort of, marble -plinth?- with a purply red surrounding and possibly roses in the corner. SO I wrote (and failed...);
~
Angels fallen grace
moon illuminated face
water falls, pure peace.
~
My reflection bright
No more love, passion, to fight
Rose petal drops light.
~
Then we found out -although I already figured it out- that this man was Narcissus and then had to write futher based upon this ideal. I did another haiku...and then gave up XD.
~
Woven gold light and
pale face, beautiful capture
Who is this creature fair?
~
(remixed for the better :D)
You capture me, oh creature fair!
All ivory skin and gold-spun hair,
Your clear, pool eyes
And full lush lips
A fallen Angel
Before me sits.
~
I take a breath, to draw you in
As you have drawn me with your grin
Those graceful limbs
They pull me forth
This pool's like ice
But I don't mind.
~
I'm pleased that I changed it in the end XD...then we read out a poem by some guy full of old-man horniness and 'we must value love and get it on before we *cough*I*cough* die!!11!!1!' ideals and metaphors blah blah... Then we were asked to write a response. So I said XD;
~
The sun, our ball
So sweet and hot
Burns my fingers
Bitter heat.
Through you I fall
And forget me not,
for thy love lingers
In what you reap.
~
Such passion strong.
Such ardored words.
So hard you long,
But listen close;
You collonise
Work fast like ants
Please keep thine vegetable,
in thine pants.
~
Mega lolz? :)
Yeah sure, whatever, so before I go, I'll leave with an update on LoveHate; it's still not finished, but so much better!
~
He is power and dominence,
In the darkest parts of every mind.
Anger, misery and ignorence
Accomplices he will find.
~
Sharp suits, slick hair and tightened tie,
He prowls and claims his prey.
Dark, hot rage and cold, sweet revenge,
two dogs, obedient, before him lay.
~
They entwine their limbs
And the fine line shrinks
The membrane of chaos gives way
They meet, mingle
Clash and frission,
The heady mixture is claustrophobic.
~
She gasps, he parts,
They swerve and grab,
Two forces, bound,
Turn dive and break.
The dance is endless.
~
She is foolhardy and controlling
Gripping the soul soft, cold fingers...
And...I haven't done anymore, typing it up makes me feel that it still needs revising further!...hmmm

Writer's Group and that veritable Smoorgasboard...

So, Writer's update! We were considoring personification this week and looked at Sylvia Plath's 'Mirror'. First I did a poem on...well, see if you can guess!
~
If I were you I'd be ultimately smart.
With an astronomical memory.
every birthday I get better
Bigger
More...relevant?
I am like an inquisitors gift,
open me up
Find black and white delights fir the knowledge hungry.
~
That's all I got for that.
Guess...no?
DICTIONARY! :D So creative I am...
Then we did a little loosening up exercise and did word vomit on the page:
~
Primordeal Soup:
Sweet chunks of potato and candy cane,
scrap that. Anyway, pink, white, grey; the rats rainbow.
See the spectrum of inky colours fan across that plastic sheet of fake paper.
Paper, pier, bagels and cream cheese dipped in honey and smoothered in the caramalised homeless.
Tartan, thick warm and scratchy.
~
Word Vomit indeed! XD I really don't understand, but it does...kinda...fit together...right?
Anways, next we all had to work on a personification of a pen;
~
Mightier than the sword
That's what they call me. It's my title if you must know.
I am elementary, age-old and yet fresh, young. Remixed, new and hip.
Old-school dip.
Slick and...
Think.
~
If I am so powerful
Think
What would you use me for?
Good?
Bad?
If every letter I spell, each loop, swirl and line I deposit has the power to kill.
What would you use me for?
~
Finally we were supposed to write something personifying an emotion. I chose to do two and compare them, chosing of course---LOVE AND HATE! :D
My original is not all that good, I didn't even finish it, but I am going to rewrite it...maybe put it in the next post, so I'll finish this one on that note and come back to you with the new REMIX.
Oh! just incidently, school has become very...exciting?

~
Hello! How can one small girl HANDLE all of that?! XD Anyway, rubbish poem then I promise that I'll go! :D
~
It manifests and grows.
Spawning and festering in the darkest corners of every mind.
Sparked by spurn, jealousy, anger, misery.
Left to itself it takes over, possesion and power.
~
They entwine in places.
That fine line can become thinner.
A net movement?
The membrane of hysteria, chaos.
They meet and mingle and the heady mixture is claustraphobic.
The dance is endless.
...has not finished this...needs rewriting badly XD....

Wednesday 19 November 2008

Flip flop, scuba bop, shake it baby don't stop.

BIKINI BOTTOM!

I'm a little confused, I'll admitt, well not confused as such...more...rattling.

My head rattles when I try to squeeze my thoughts into processable paste :/. Like an empty aerosol...oh me.

I don't think I'm cut out for it all. Like, there are protocols and behaviour policies, and don't do this or that because there's a chance that you're out! A game that you have to play for many years before you get the hang of it. Those who do well get paid a wealthy amount for being naturally talented. And those who aren't good enough are left standing up against that playground wall.

You know?

No?

Good.

Ambiguous is what we aim for, down at Tree headquarters :D.

-"Obviously you weren't loved enough as a child." He sneered.

Everyone was silent.

"That's not funny." She said, laying a protective hand on his hunched shoulders.

He raised an eyebrow "really? I thought so."

"Just," he made a violent move forawards and he jump backwards, out of reach.

"Oh honestly, just calm down. Did you ever think that it could be a good thing?" He asked impatiently.

He scowled "How could it eve-"

"THINK." He interrupted loudly, "It gives you an excuse."

"For what?" she enquired.

"Why, for your Social Redundancy." -

Can't remember the rest T__T. DAMN SOLITAIRE!

Good one Tree!

SO!

Um...not really much to update on actually (chase-wise) other than the new twist to my textiles themes. Now we're starting a new project (scarf still uncompleted XD), and I'm -hoping to!- do a playsuit based on....

NAUTICAL!

One of my favourite themes :3....I love my nautical socks!

Anyway, yeah, I've been looking like crazy for nautical clothing for Mood Boards and comparative shops and all that jazz and I find that it's SO HARD to find anything! It's riddiculous...but there you have it :D.

Sunday 16 November 2008

Where's his armies? Up his sleevies!

I haven't got much to say, just killing time here :D.
Have recently rediscovered my amorous love for Maroon 5 with their Spider-Man soundtrack song 'Woman'. Also found new love for Electrocute with their groovilicious song 'Bikini Bottom' which -naturally- is part of the Spongebob Squarepants Movie soundtrack.
Good times.
So, textiles is still hectic but fun as. Practical is supposed to be finished next Friday approx. 8:45 AM . It is currently 02:12 AM Sunday. I have no scarf, only many decorative 'things'.
It looks promising Captain.
However, I made two of the cute white rabbits alive! They're so adorable that I've decided to name them both; Chase and Wally...
I'm going to try and scan them!
Is that healthy for baby rabbits? :D

There's my lost little rah-bbit with his little golden buttons :3.

Not much in the way of White Rabbit and more Peter Rabbit. But then Peter's always been the better bunny.

Bought a new game today, it's mediochre to rubbish really. Nothing in comparison to the Final Fantasy giants anyways. Also had a recent revival of Jade Coccoon 2 madness, despite the fact that the dialogue is diabolical and the game play is incredibly sameish.

Can't you just taste christmas right now?

It's suddenly everywhere and that's great! Especially the new M&S advert, because it makes you feel so warm and fuzzy and 'let's open the presents now!' ish. Next Saturday is Winter shopping in the city day. Ham so excited(ish)! We'll be getting a new Christmas Tree soon.

SOON!

What I really want though is a new pair of socks from Accessorize, bring on the stocking! :D

Incidently, I saw a model in Vogue (Sept/Nov? I forget...) who has exactly the same pair of socks as me (Accessorize)! I actually screamed. First time I've ever seen anything of mine advertised in Vogue before! I think...

It's so cool. I will most likely frame the article and then tell my Grandchildren. Not that there's any danger of grandchildren in the near future to be honest. Woah mama...

Considering my previous post, I can certainly tell that, on the fanfiction side of things, I'm failing spectacularly. I don't even really care :D. Also, I was too lazy to get involved with NaNoRimMo, which is a shame as it sounds really quite cool! But there you are...I AM lazy and I love it!!

I think I'm going to go a play with my body friend now, as he's cool as.

Primordeal Soup *~<3

Writer's Groups again!
And we didn't do all that much...watched some highlights from A Streetcar Named Desire, witnessed a relationship proposal, wrote some MORE self-introductory things and began working on scripts and play-writing.
So, my self thing was;
~
I am
'
Amused, admiring, amazed
Shy, sharp, spontaneous.
Harmless, helpless and sometimes horrid
Lively, lucky, lost at times
Erratic, eccentric, ever weird
Ignorant, imaginative, irate when irked
Game, grim, girly and gracious
Hearty, high-spirited and hyperactive.
'
I am Ashleigh.
(And not many of the above actually apply to me.)
~
And then we did a paired script thing. This was a situation between a failing writer and his publisher. The script= cool. The performance?
Nicht sehr gut in meinem meinung...:/
anyways!
~
(A figure sits crouched over a small, cluttered desk, a grey light is feeding through the worn curtains. The sound of erratic typing cuts throught the room, stopping often.)
Peter: (Runs a hand through his hair and bangs his hand upon his desk) I hate this. I fucking hate this!
(There is a knock at the door and Peter, midway through standing up, freezes.)
Peter: Shit, Derreck.
(He lowers gingerly back into his seat. The door knocks again.)
Derreck: Peter! I know you're in there!
(There is a scuffling sound from behind the door and the scrape of pottery.)
Derreck: I'm coming in!
(Peter stands quickly and rushes to the door)
Derreck: (opens the door himself) It was under the flowerpot. For a writer, you're not very inventive, Peter.
Peter: I was so involved in the plot, I got sidetracked by the sheer volume of creativity that I had amassed.
(Derreck snorts)
Derreck: Yeah, and I'm Jackie Chan's stunt double.
Peter: I'm trying, alright?
Derreck: Yes, you are. Very. The deadline's next week, you know? No pressure.
(He smirks)
Peter: There's always pressure. ALWAYS with the pressure! (He looks distressed) How about some manners, want a drink?
Derreck: What I want is another 10 00 wrds. But I'll settle for a gin and tonic.
Peter: It's on the house.
~
~
Alright, that will be all!

I have always relied upon the kindness of strangers...

I've decided to take the nonsense notes that are stored on my iPod and turn them into little clippits of scenes in an attempt to get some creative juices flowing...
Also,

=== Since discovering cable television, Draco had become obsessed with it's many channels and veiwing options. Harry found it routine to return home from the office and find the blond fixated on the screen, taking notes and ignoring his presence.
Harry was not about to complain however, as it was simply a matter of personal choice and a habit that was of minor convinience to others; Harry liked to donate staggering amounts of money to charities. Draco liked to watch porn like a soap opera.
It was all relative really.===
=
=== "Harry dance with me," Draco demanded, holding out one hand and placing his champagne flute onto the table, where Ron, Hermione and Ginny sat, with the other.
Harry snorted, "not happening", and sat down with the others.
Draco fumed for a moment or so, casting a beady eye around.
"Granger." He sharply called.
Hermione smiled patiently, "I'm a Weasley now, Draco." Ron gave her a pleased look which she returned with interest.
Draco rolled his eyes, "don't let it get you down" he said with a hint of pity. "Dance with me."===
=
===Draco had found a comfort in wearing shorts to wander about the house in, on mornings. He would emerge from the room, stretching and yawning blearily, lean on the kitchen doorframe for a moment or so to gather his bearings, and move to the table and demand breakfast.
Harry liked to take advantage of Draco's distracted routine to secretly shrink his shorts by a centimetre each morning. What had started out as a bid to expose more flesh had turned into everyday routine, Harry was interested on just HOW short he could make Draco's shorts before the blond noticed and all hell was let loose.
It wasn't that Harry didn't often see Draco naked, it was just that he didn't see him naked ENOUGH.===
=
===Every now and then, Harry's job took him on trips and overseas meetings that would keep him from returning home for days. He had returned, on one occasion, after a grueling week spent in Paris at an endless board-meeting, one day later than expected and rushed up the steps to their house and knocked on the door loudly and anxiously.
He had missed Draco immensely, and so bought him a mountain of presents during his free time to set things right.
He was just bouncing eagerly on the step
--- WAIT, THIS STORY DOESN'T WORK T_____T I SPOILT IT....===
=
oh that's put me off it all now :/....
how rubbish!!

Friday 7 November 2008

If it never ends then when do we start?

Vettrianorama!!!
Fetish

'Round Midnight

Pretty neat stuff for someone who's never had a lesson huh? Anyway, those are the ones that I like the most, minus one which I couldn't get hold of or something...
So yeah, I like his pictures a lot and would recreate a couple if my artistic skills were up to it.
Sadly they are most certainly lacking!
Right then!
Moving on to now and present (IT TOOK 3 POSTS!! O_____O) my chases for the moment.

G'Night!
Xx:DxX

Lamb-bikini...

Don't know what happened with last post, but it came out riddled with extra paragraphing spaces that I DID NOT PUT IN! I actually spent ages trying to delete them to no avail T__T.
But there you have it, me and bloggy just don't see eye to eye I guess...:/
Anyways!
Carrying on, I'll start with...Writer's group! Erm...*must fetch folder* ham so organized...
So, on the theme of Halloween (a week late) we were asked to (list for readings sake):
*Get into pairs
*Decide on Killer or Victim
*Write a dual POV story (short) of murder.
I worked with a guy who decided that we'd do a murder, with his POV being a dwarf with a pickaxe. I loved it so we went ahead and planned my gory, innocent death.
Here's my POV story :)
'''
Shoo!
A ripping, sucking noise of which I'm not too familiar and a mighty smash.
Did I leave the T.V. on?
It's typical, that as I leave the room after a 12 hour marathon of Eastenders, that the T.V goes and does one on me.
I head into the living room; vacating the kitchen and leaving my hard earned tea to cool. Depressing.
As it turns out, the T.V. is fine. Just as I left it...actually no, switched on. I sigh and turn it off, feeling shifty. It would be so much easier to lay the blame on the cat.
If I had one.
It is, as I turn to leave, that I see him.
A dwarf.
Sorry, "Little Person". Must be P.C.
He's standing by my hoover, wearing full body armour, grasping a pickaxe and looking ratty.
Mildly surprised I ask; "Can I help you? Are you lost?"
I am nothing, if not ever-caring and help-offering. The perfect hostess.
The Little Person looks positively feral and I wonder, did I say something wrong?
That age old question.
This I am pondering as he takes a mighty leap and swings his pickaxe through the air.
It seems that he has murderous intent. And it is with determination that he drives it into my skull.
I would tell you more, but I'm dead.
'''
Now that I look back upon it, I realise that my story isn't actually all that great written down. But when narrated, it turns out half decent :D. Some of the other stories were really good, those two being Alan's and Clare's. Alan's was plain creepy...:S...
Erm...
Oh yeah! Looking back, I've found another C.W. entry for ya. This one was based on a picture that we were given that didn't relate to our own personality at all. I got two men with brief cases striding across a London bridge. Using this picture we were supposed to write something, anything, from one person in the picture's P.O.V.
I was the bald, short guy at the front;
'''
It's grey and bleak.
My day that is. In fact, not just my day, the weather too.
I slog alaong, my steps as heavy as my breifcase. People rush past on either side, pushing and shoving with expressions of murderous intent. Extreme discontent.
They hurry by in their sharp suits and shiney shoes, I considor the difference in our lives.
A ratio of happiness.
6:7
I like to hope that I'm the higher; the luckier; the happier.
Troy walks behind me. He's talking fast an furious, crap spewing from between his lips and splattering those in the vacinity. Self-important and overly ambitious.
I believe the term is 'Delusions of Grandeur'...
'''
And...I didn't finish it off but I figure it's better that way so I never shall! Take that! :D.
Also! -I notice looking back at bloggy- I have nothing about Michaelangelo Caravaggio. I LOVE Caravaggio, and I don't know why...I've just...fallen for him.
Admittedly, it's a pretty one-sided affair, seeing as he's been dead for centuries T__T.
So, he's this guy -who, if he had a movie should be played by Robert Downing Jr. I.M.O- who was raving and painted for churches and important people and killed a guy because he was drunk. He's so mad and whirlwindy that I can't help but admire his typical artistic nature. Genius.
Also, he did a couple of pictures of little boys that a lot of critics say lean towards homoerotic.
GAY UNDERTONE! :D :D.
Such as (my two favourites);

Boy With a Basket of Fruit

Amor Victoris

I love 'Boy W...' the sultry expression on that kid's face is, creepy? Kinda hot? I say kid, I think the model was about 15/6...XD.

Yeah, saying 'Kid' seems a little paedophillic...

I don't know what to think, only that Caravaggio is a little bit legend :).

Another artist that I have currently got a bit of a Chase crush on is Jack Vettriano (currently still alive XD), who is SELF-TAUGHT and paints some pretty tense pictures! I mean seriously...let me show you a picture or two to explain my point...ahem.

Erm...I'll do it in another post XD XD...

Come on Ramone, let's do the bad thing!

Christ, I'd like to confess to leaving the previous post halfway through because I was lazy...
I'm not exactly proud...but there you are. I'll just have to do a really long, mind-numbing post right now. :D
Ready?
Set...
GO!
Okay, so I'll finish off the other post first;
So, her amahzingness kind of inspired me to write my own short, performance poetry piece (WOO!), thus!
~
Antithesis.
~
She crawls forward
Skin, bones and half-crazed for
fame, a name.
She begs, keens aims to appease as she's on her knees
saying
"Please!"
Raises parched, prune-like palms and cries
"Please sir, can I have less?
Because less is more (or so they say).
And I'm thinking of days
When I'm on the stage
Turning a phrase,
Starting a phase,
Black
Is the new beige."
~
In the world today
You're no one until you're a someone.
And to be someone
You need to dream,
See,
Be
The one.
~
She's up there with the lights on
The crowds go wild,
She starts to smile,
She's famous for a while.
Then it's gone.
~
"Because less is more- more or less."
And she took her final famous breath.
~
~
Also, I forgot to put in a little quote from one of her poems -'RnB'- that I love. It just makes me smile.
~
"You've got more kick than red rum,
You're red raw, red-handed, red-hot,
I metamorphose into blue-nun.
You're love lies bleeding, I'm forget-me-not. "
~
So! Now that that's all over and done with I can continue on. And I shall do with random highlights from the past...month? XD Oh lord, it's been almost that long?!
For some reason, my inner-child is desperate to start with a rubbish picture that I did a while back of Batman (vaguely) and if my scanner feels like co-operating, I can share it with you..
~

~
There he is! It's (vertically) Batman Caught in a Whirlwind with Half-Formed, Unattatched Cape Surrounded by Unassuming Flowers. That'll sell for loads, you saw it here first!
~
Moving swiftly on :D (quick-fire like this is!) I'll show you some pictures from two cake books found for me by none other than Alan Rickman!
~

Those books are called 'Pretty Party Cakes' By Peggy Porschen and 'Cupcake Magic' by Kate Shirazi.
And I will leave this post here and go onto a new one for space's sake :D.
Good old space...

The Sponge Plug in the Sinkhole of Society.

Last week I did not update, shame on me! And especially so because I have a great chase to throw about.
Last Tuesday I travelled to Leicester with Minks, Boris, Harry and Ben and we joined the gathering at Word at the Y Bar. Word is a collection of people that meet the first Tuesday of every month to perform poetry and share their work.
Very inspiring! As well as participants and general public (it's open) we also had guest speakers on, mostly people who have won awards and such (very exciting, they were incredible!) but one particular performer was Patience Agbabi.
Let me tell you, she was stunning! She was...last on? No I'm not sure but it doesn't matter anyways. If I'm correct in thinking so, she was in the first performance poetry pop band, think Faithless, that's the genre I'm talking about.
She was announced and glided towards the slightly raised platform complete with microphones and began to perform and I was MESMERISED! She's incredible, her poems are amazing, she's just all confidence and enrapture rolled into one thin, ebony skinned, powerful woman.
Her poems are just as powerful as she, if you've never encountered Performance Poetry, think once again of Faithless and their rhythmic lines, rap with a little less brag and a little more passion.
I bought one of her books; 'Transformatrix' which wasn't the one that I wanted but nevertheless, equally as incredible. I wanted 'Bloodshot Monochrome' T__T shame...
Also I've been looking for the word format of one of the poems that she performed, but I can't find it because I can't remember the title, but it was a mirror poem and was SOOOO clever it's mind-boggling.
So, an example of a poem that she read out, 'Prologue' from Transformatrix. Please imagine the driving rhythm as you read!
~
~
Give me a word
any word
let it roll across your tongue
like a dolly mixture.
Open your lips
say it loud
let each syllable vibrate
like a transistor.
Say it again again again again again
till it's a tongue twister
till its meaning is in tatters
till its meaning equals sound
now write it down,
letter by letter
loop the loops
till you form a struacture.
Do it again again again again again
till it's a word picture.
Does this inspire?
Is your consciousness on fire?
Then let me take you higher.
Give me a noun
give me a verb
and I'm in motion
cos I'm on a mission
to deliver information
so let me take you to the fifth dimension.
No fee, its free,
you only gotta pay attention.
So sit back, relax,
let me take you back
to when you learnt to walk, talk,
learnt coordination
and communication,
mama
dada.
If you rub two words together you get friction
cut them in half, you get a fraction.
If you join two words you get multiplication.
My school of mathematics
equals verbal acrobatics
so let's make conversation.
Give me a preposition
give me an interjection
give me inspiration.
In the beginning was creatition
I'm not scared of revalations
cos I've done my calculations.
I've got high hopes
on the tightrope,
I just keep talking.
I got more skills than I got melanin
I'm fired by adrenaline
if you wanna know rhyme it is
it's femenine.
Cos I'm Eve on an Apple Mac
this is a rap attack
so rich in onomatopoeia
I'll take you higher than the ozone layer.
So give me Word for my windows
give me 'W' times three
cos I'm on a mission
to deliver information
that is gravity defyingf and I'll keep on trying
till you lose your fear of flying.
Give me a pronoun
give me a verb
and I'm living in syntax.
You only need two words to make a sentence.
I am I am I am I am I am
bicultural and sometimes clinical,
my mother fed me rhymes through the umbilical,
I was born waxing lyrical.
I was raised on Watch with Mother
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
and Fight the Power.
Now I have the perfect tutor
in my postmodern suitor,
I'm in love with my computer.
But let me shut down down
before I touch down.
Give me a word
give me a big word
let me manifest
express in excess
the M I X
of my voice box.
Now I've eaten the apple
I'm nore subtle than a snake is.
I wanna do poetic things in poetic places.
Give me poetry unplugged
so I can counter silence.
Give me my poetic licence
and I'll give you metaphors that top eclipses
I'll give megabytes and megamixes.
Give me a stage and I'll cut form on it
give my a page and I'll perform on it.
Give me a word
any word.

He had freckles. Good for him.

I'm at a loss. A serious loss!
Drop Dead Gorgeous has officially finished so...what do I do now?
Just to elaborate, DDG (one of THE greatest HD fics) written by Mistful has just been concluded on livejournal. It was so perfect, I'm just...empty XD.
I should be jumping for joy -MOUNTAINS ARE CLEARED!- but I'm kinda all 'oh...oh man, now I have to find something else to read...'
I would put up a link, but the fic is going to be taken down within a couple of days (T___T), I'll just have to ensure that I pick up the PDF file before it's too late!
So yeah, DDG= absolutely stunning and tastily gorgeous *drool*.
It's up there in my top five.
I think it reaches number 2 at least...at the VERY least (consults bebo).
So I spent the last hour or so consulting Bebo, and found that my top 5 is more of a top 4...beacuase I'm indecisive and can't bring myself to make a final decision.
1. The Loft
2. Drop Dead Gorgeous (link is invalid from the 6th T___T)
3. Bond
4. Yorkshire Puddings
And I chose that 4 in particular because I can quite happily read them over and over and over again.
QUITE happily...
So, my previous post HAD been about other fanfictions, when it was innexplicably deleted! Deleted in all of it's glory! So I'm going to try to recreate it...but with difficulty.
Well, as you might be able to tell, my head is quite often filled with fanfiction of all kinds -but mostly HD-, recently much more so. Currently, in a bid to find interests OTHER than HD AU post Hogwarts...I have been cruising HP Flavoured Crack, a rec website, that is updated multiple times a day as far as I can tell, with quite a variety of fanfiction pairings -all Harry Potter though-.
Let me tell you, I have come across some new pairings, namely; AliciaKatieAngelina, HarryDracoLuna, HarryRonSeamus, HarryDeanNeville(?!?), PansyCho, ChoAngelina, PercyOliver, TeddyJamesScorpius, PercyOliverHarry, DeanSeamus and LunaGinny...
Anyway, they've all been weird and such, and I'm much too tired to elaborate eloquently so...yeah :D XD...

If I could get away with Jodhpurs...

Jason Todd being carried from the scene of his death.
Alas I am small and they would make me look squat and dumpy. You know who else is small, my height in fact?

Robin!

As in....from Batman and Robin!!

This Robin unfortunately not being Dick Grayson (who goes on to become Nightwing); the 1st, original and very best in my opinion -ergo, isn't dead (Jason Todd)/struggling with teen life and dual identities-.

As in Tim Drake, the boring and 3rd Robin...but that's beside the point...

Because this leads me nicely into my current Chase sidetrack.

See, I've suddenly and inexplicably become obsessed with the heady mixture of Batman and Pendulum. Pedulum, whom I've always thought sounded like 'Comic Book Music' and up until recently I have been completely unable to explain myself. Now, however, I can quite happily direct you to read 'Batman; the Ultimate Guide to the Dark Knight' By Scott Beatty whilst listenening to...say... 'Different', 'Visions' (espc!), 'The Other Side', 'Granite' or 'Slam'. I pick these songs in particular and not just the album 'in Silico' as a whole because they suit it perfectly.

Anyway, mix the two together and you'll get a feel for my mood right now. Addictive!

I've become really brain dead recently, today mostly I'll admit, and it occurs mostly during my art classes. This is pretty bad, as I need to be REALLY motivated during art in order to keep up, but as it is, I can't be arsed -to be frank-.

It's one of the times when you know that you're being destructive, and that you're leading yourself down that evil one way path that spirals downhill and gets darker along the way. All you can do though is watch and feel nothing but calm panic -a sort of 'oh God...not again...' panic-, eventually, you know that something will hook you up and drag you away before it becomes too late.

Anyway...yeah Batman is awesome and I love Pendulum...:D
